In Thailand’s massive
nightlife industry ladyboys
or katoeys
are indispensible. There
many places on Phuket Island
especially at Patong Beach
at Soi Crocodile to have a
good laugh and some amusing
or rather amazing time
watching this go in between
nor guys nor girls posing
and dancing on the tables.
Another version is going on
in some Phuket City
nightclubs; actually the
pictures here are from one
of this Phuket clubs.
Most of the nightshift
activities start around 9
p.m. and goes on until
around 2 am. The bars and
nightclubs scene could be a
highlight at any vacation on
the island. A great place to
start is walking down Bangla
Road at Patong and has a
look for the katoeys posing
together with tourists for
some photos, one shot
hundred Bath, and everyone
must live. They wear pretty
colorful costumes since they
also work at a

cabaret show in the
nightclub behind, in between
they do freelancing on the
road.
Bangla road is the top
nightlife spot on the
island, every evening
thousands of tourist walk
down the road for an open
air spectacle. Along the
road are trendy night spots,
bars and restaurants with
famous Thai bar girls and

There are some Patong discos
with overcrowded dance
floors, a good place to
spend a “integrated” night
is the Tiger Bar & Disco,
everything is there with a
great decoration of neon
lights and dozens of Patong
girls for entertainment, all
this places have no dress
code, nobody needs this
silly stuff in a civilized
world. |

Maybe consider
visiting the Goong
Jaah club at Phuket
Town,
a five minutes’ walk
eastwards of the
Royal Phuket City
Hotel, just behind
the Shell station,
that’s the place
where this photos
have been made.
Thats a rotten place
but typical for Thai
style nightlife,
very seldom
foreigners come
there. Never come
before 11pm and it
is not sure if there
is acting at the
stage one days the
do the next day they
don’t, its typically
random Thailand
where everyone do
what he or she like.
This place also has
always a couple of
pretty girls for
entertainment and
some for a quickie
at a so called VIP
room. It’s a flashy
place and the guys
and girls get
comfortable with
each other very
quick.
