Bangla road at Patong beach is the epicenter of the Thai bar girls business on Phuket island. With about a dozen Soi (small street) branching off having such strange names as Soi Crocodile, Soi Seadragon, Soi Eric, Soi Katoey (means ladyboy in Thai language) and more.

Almost all bars around Bangla road are girl pick up places and along Bangla road are also plenty of "freelancer" Thai girls who try to grab a guy who is just walk around start some conversation with him and has a look how to steal something from him or her. Never let this freelancer no matter if it a ladyboy or a real lady come close to you this a real crooks and if it happen you have no chance to retrieve anything.
